All For HIS Glory

Colossians 3:

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

This statement speaks for itself. If there is anything that you can’t do happily as to the lord, you have absolutely no business doing it.

-On the job, the Lord is your boss
-In marriage the husband is Christ; the wife is His Body
-As Ambassadors from the Kingdom of Heaven, we handle all things in Earth according to the law of our kingdom; the law of Agape’ Love, which covers even our enemies.

24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for  you serve the Lord Christ.

The problem with this verse is that too many saints do not believe, what this passage says they should know. This knowledge of the promises of our Lord along with His incredible love shown us on the cross should be enough to keep us thankful, loyal, excited and totally determined to let our Lord’s Holy Spirit have His way in us to glorify our God, Father and Lord.

How about the second part of the passage? It assumes that those of us, who call ourselves believers, serve the Lord Christ.

Do we? Do we serve Him the way that He says we should; in Spirit and Truth? Are we yielding ourselves as servants to obey Him or are we yielding ourselves to our self-serving human nature to serve sin? Are we yielding to men; serving them instead of the Lord Jesus, which is also sin.

The answer to these questions can be found in the fruit that is produced through us and whatever comes from our mouths in abundance.

25 But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality. Enough said.
