SPIRITUAL / LEADERSHIP BLINDNESS

The #1 problem in Christendom today IS the “church with a pastor” SYSTEM. It is not what Father set up. It is no where in Scripture. It is totally man made which is why it will NEVER get saints to the place Father wants them to go.

The #2 problem: The self appointed leadership DON’T KNOW where TO lead the saints nor what the primary purpose of Father IS, in HIS saints. In other words, the so called leaders DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE MINISTRY IS ALL ABOUT.

Impact on the community; getting people healed; casting out devils; and being a strong witness IS NOT the primary goal Father had in mind for the so called “five fold ministry”. Depending on what meaning you give to “living the faith”, it could be included in this list too.

IF THE LEADERSHIP DOES NOT KNOW WHERE NOR HOW TO LEAD THE SAINTS, IT STANDS TO REASON THAT THE SAINTS THAT THEY LEAD DON’T KNOW EITHER.

THIS IS CLASSIC “BLIND LEADING THE BLIND”.

The biggest reason for this BLINDNESS is the deception of professing saints by their own SINFUL / WICKED FLESH tricking them into thinking that their “THOUGHTS and INTERPRETATIONS” are spiritual, when they are purely human / fleshly / earthly / WORLDLY.

The flesh can only deal with what is OUTWARD. Professing leadership as well as their followers / congregations are totally focused on the “exciting” OUTWARD things that Lord Jesus did and said while IGNORING or REMAINING IGNORANT of the SPIRIT BEHIND OR UNDERNEATH those things.

They are focused on the LETTER rather than the SPIRIT and don’t even recognize it. Some evidences:

-In Scripture, “church” is people; in our day “church” is a building.
-In Scripture, saints are the HOUSE OF GOD; in our day the building is the “HOUSE OF GOD”.
-In Scripture, the focus is LIFESTYLE OF SAINTS EVERYDAY; in our day, the focus is “churches”, “church services” and leadership positions.
-Scripture focuses on Holy Spirit Leadership while today’s “church” system focuses on human leadership.
-Scripture focuses on unity of ALL SAINTS, while today’s “church” system focuses on individual congregations unity.
-Lord Jesus led BY THE SPIRIT with MEEKNESS AND HUMILITY, while today’s self appointed leaders lead IN FLESH with AUTHORITATIVE ARROGANCE AND PRIDE.

Their is SO MUCH MORE.

CONSIDER what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. (2 Timothy 2:7)

THE LORD’S DAY; EVERY DAY! REJOICE! BE THANKFUL!

Every day is a day that our Lord makes. Doesn’t that make every day, “the Lord’s Day”? Who should know this better than His little born again children? We’ll always be little children to Him, you know. This is why we’re to rejoice and be glad every day, less we be found complaining against our Father.

1 Thessalonians 5  ²⁴Faithful and utterly trustworthy is He Who is calling us to Himself; Who also will fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping us.

²⁸The undeserved and unearned favor and blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all. So be it.

Proverbs 20 ¹¹Even a child is known by what he does, whether what he does is pure and right or not.

With us saints, there are always missing facts and surprises; but that is never the case with our God, Father and Lord.

Isaiah 46 ⁹Earnestly remember the former things, which I did in the past; for I AM God, and there is no one else; I AM God, and there is none like Me,

¹⁰Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose,

Proverbs 28 ¹⁴Blessed, happy, fortunate, and to be envied are saints who reverently, thankfully and worshipfully fear the Lord at all times regardless of circumstances

Think over these things I am saying; understand them and grasp their application, for the Lord will grant you full insight and understanding in everything.   (2Timothy 2:7)

LORD JESUS: THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE PASTOR

LORD JESUS is my SHEPHERD / PASTOR;
AND all my needs are met; BOTH spiritually and physically;
because HIS Father and my Father / HIS God and my God supplies them,
according to HIS riches in glory IN HIS SON: my LORD, my SAVIOR and my SHEPHERD / PASTOR.

LORD JESUS; my Pastor keeps me in perfect peace because my mind stays on HIM;
LORD JESUS; my Pastor leads me by HIS HOLY SPIRIT Who abides WITHIN me PERMANENTLY;
LORD JESUS; my Pastor, by HIS HOLY SPIRIT leads me to THINK, SAY and DO righteously
in EVERY situation and circumstance in my life because HE IS ALWAYS THERE WITH ME

I have absolutely no fear of evil or anything / anybody else because I have COMPLETE TRUST in my FATHER / GOD/ LORD / PASTOR Who is ALWAYS with me TO COMFORT me.
THE TABLE that my FATHER / GOD / LORD / PASTOR have prepared for me
in the presence of my friends and enemies alike IS HIMSELF. My cup is continually running over.

HIS GOODNESS and HIS MERCY is always with me and will be FOREVER! HALLELUJAH!
I am IN HIM and HE is in me. HE has made me to be HIS HOUSE TO DWELL IN for the rest of my life on Earth so that I may dwell IN HIS HOUSE IN ETERNITY / FOREVER.

Wish to Boast?

To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God’s dear saints, whose hearts hunger and thirst for the Truth, that IS our Lord Jesus Christ,

Much grace, loads of mercy and abundance of peace to all of us today, from our God, Father and Lord Jesus Christ who lives inside each of us in the Person of His Holy Spirit and is always with us where ever we are, 24/7.

No thought, no intention, no words and no deeds go unnoticed by Him. We are never alone, as He promised. He Loves us; He knows us; He understands us; and He will never let go of us. He will bring us home to glory with Himself.

What are we bragging about these days? What is it that we’re so proud of these days? What is it that makes us crack that huge smile when someone notices or finds out? What is it that we just can’t wait to tell someone? What is it that we just can’t get enough of? What is it that we never get tired of doing? What is it that we talk about more than anything else? What is it that gives us our greatest joy?

More than likely, the first thing that came to our minds as we read each question is the true answer. Everything from our degrees, careers and status to our children, social associations and possessions proudly steps up to the plate to be the answer to these questions.

Jeremiah 9:
23 This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches.
24 But, those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!

If anyone can put a right perspective on a matter, no one can do it better than our Loving God and Father, Who IS and Who IS Love and always Has Been. Unlike us, our God and Father never changes. He knows, that He IS right whether any one believes Him or not; whether anyone likes what He says or not. YES! He is indeed ALL THAT!

Think over these things I am saying; understand them and grasp their application, for the Lord will grant you full insight and understanding in everything. (2 Timothy 2:7)

SIMPLE ADMONITION

By faith, we know that the Son of man; our Lord Jesus Christ, IS going to appear to Israel and the world at our God and Father’s appointed time; and we saints, the Lord’s Body is going to appear with Him in glory (Colossians 3:4).

Therefore; because His appearing with us is going to happen, we saints should deprive our members of power; put to death our members; our human body along with its evil, wicked, mean and sinful human nature, which will fight the Holy Spirit for control of us for as long as we are on the earth in human bodies: (Colossians 3:5)

Because of the totally depraved state of our evil, wicked, mean and sinful human nature, it is impossible for it to accept defeat and give up its fight with the Holy Spirit for control of us. It will continue this fight until we leave our earthly house, which is our body. It will continue to be more deceitful than anything else that we know of; desperately and totally wicked; and impossible for us to know and keep up with, apart from total dependence on the Holy Spirit inside us (Jeremiah 17:9).

Fornication, which is any sexual activity outside of the God of the Bible’s definition of marriage (So that there is absolutely no confusion, the God of the Bible made “male and female” to be husband and wife, which was a mystery hidden in God until He revealed that what He had in mind when He put man and woman together as husband and wife, was His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ and His bride, the Church [Ephesians 5:32]) ,

Uncleanness, which is lust and impure motives, depraved and vile passion, evil desire for that which is forbidden, and covetousness or greedy desire to have more, all of which is the exact same thing as idolatry or worshiping false gods.

Our focus, as true children of God, is not to be on these things which are seen, but on the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are only temporary; but the things which we cannot see now, except with our eyes of faith, will never ever end. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Instead, according to our God and Father’s promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, where there will be absolutely nothing but righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13)

Why is it, that doing things the way our God and Father tells us to, just does not appeal to most professing saints? I dare say that it is because most professing saints are NOT true saints OR they are allowing the human body along with its evil, wicked mean and sinful human nature to survive, thrive and control us, instead of depriving it of its power, by giving ourselves wholly to the control of the Holy Spirit of God.

You’ll know that you’re headed in the right direction when the things that seem so great and wonderful to the children of this world, begin to be less and less appealing, attractive and important to you; and our Lord Jesus Himself becomes more and more all that you need in any situation.

BACK TO THE BEGINNING

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. (John 21:25)

 

What the Holy Spirit said here is PROOF that Scripture is NOT a play by play of the LIFE of LORD JESUS or anyone else for that matter.

We can conclude that what is written, in Father’s Mind, is sufficient.

The world’s way of thinking leads MAN to always be looking for something NEW and BETTER / IMPROVED.

This worldly way of thinking, if left to itself by God, would lead to man’s TOTAL ANNIHILATION. (Matthew 24:22)

For those who profess to be children of God IN CHRIST, this worldly way of thinking is called “fleshly” and / or “carnal” minded thinking. Far too many professing saints are UNAWARE that this kind of thinking is ungodly, especially when it comes to the things of God.

Our God and Father / our Lord and Savior says that HE CHANGES “NOT” (Malachi 3:6); that HE is the same YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOR EVER (Hebrews 13:8)

The very Nature of God is ANTI the worlds way of thinking. One of the most ungodly statements a saint could make about God’s way is: “that was then; this is now”. Saints forget that FATHER WAS SATISFIED WITH WHAT HE CREATED FROM THE BEGINNING. We also know that ETERNITY is going to look more like the BEGINNING than what we have now. No one, including animals, will be killing anything to eat.

Father always brought Israel back to the Law of Moses.

When people mentioned present day stuff to Lord Jesus, He said “in the beginning it was not so”.

Saints in Asia were reminded that they had left their FIRST LOVE

SO, unlike worldly minded humans, FATHER DOES NOT FIX WHAT IS NOT BROKE.
This brings me to the main point that the Spirit has put on my heart and mind.

Thirty seven (37) years ago, FATHER, showed me HIS IDEA; HIS CREATION AND HIS EXAMPLE OF KINGDOM LIVING ON EARTH on the pages of Scripture.

Acts 2:40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”

41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,

45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

AND

Acts 4:32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.

34 Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,

35 and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.

THERE SHOULDN’T BE ANY DOUBT IN ANYONE’S MIND THAT SUCH AS THIS IS HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE.

THIS IS INDEED THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIVES OF TOTALLY COMMITTED SAINTS.

THIS GLORIOUS TESTIMONY to our God, Father and Lord Jesus has not been seen for quite some time (over 1700 years). For this period of time, the world has observed the GREAT FALLING AWAY which is characterized by THE LOVE OF MANY GROWN COLD.

Even though the FOUNDATION CHURCH had thousands of “members”, they operated as ONE MAN because it was the mind of Christ through the Spirit of Christ that was actually in operation. THIS CHURCH had individual and whole body of Christ testimony to Christ.

The so called CHURCH that has been in view for over 1700 years has the world’s mentality “every man for himself and God for us all”. There are many individual saints with a good individual testimony, BUT, the WHOLE BODY OF CHRIST testimony is non existent. All that the world sees today are thousands and thousands of organizations called “churches”; some small and some MEGA, but all are SELF SUSTAINING AND AUTONOMOUS: A TESTIMONY TO THEIR LEADERS.

What really breaks Father and Lord Jesus’ heart is that SO MANY who claim to love HIM say that “HIS IDEA; HIS CREATION AND HIS EXAMPLE” is NOT for HIS children today.

They don’t even realize that by their words and actions, that they are saying that there is no longer “ONE GOD”; ONE HEAD; ONE SPIRIT AND ONE BODY, but many.

These same people who claim to love HIM, tell me and others that this message is our personal agenda; that Father is “okay” with not being glorified as in the beginning. They act as if Father would only say something ONE TIME and leave it alone. Where did that standard come from?

How many time must the Lord have repeated the same things during His time on Earth?

Look at how many time Scripture repeats how we are to LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Scripture also tells us to keep each other in REMEMBRANCE of certain things.

I for one will continue to say whatever the Spirit leads me to say, as often as He leads me to say it. No amount of insults or child psychology will have any effect. FATHER ALWAYS DRIVES A MESSAGE HOME UNTIL THE TIME THAT HE APPOINTS FOR IT IS UP; THEN COMES HIS JUDGEMENT.

 

TRUE LEADERSHIP

Mark 8:31
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Mark 9:31
For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

Mark 10:34
And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Here is three different times that Lord Jesus told His disciples that He would be killed and rise again the third day. It was not in parables nor in code, but, in plain language.

This should be evidence that no matter how we speak the Word of God or how simple the language it is written in, NO ONE can or will understand with their human mind until Father OPENS their understanding.

Mark 16:9-11
⁹ Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.
¹⁰ She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept.
¹¹ And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, THEY DID NOT BELIEVE.

Mark 16:12-13
¹² After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country.
¹³ And they went and told it to the rest, but THEY DID NOT BELIEVE THEM EITHER.

The first thing that we should note here is that, for some reason, Lord Jesus DID NOT choose to appear to His apostles first. Today, men and women who think that they are Father’s appointed “leadership” would definitely call the apostles “leadership”.

It is also interesting to note that the bulk of the New Testament is also addressed to the saints and NOT “leadership”. The question is: why would Father address letters to saints if they could not understand the letters “without leadership” AS today’s so called leadership seem to think?

THE MOST INTERESTING THING OF NOTE IS that the men who had spent the most time with Lord Jesus and had been told by Lord Jesus at least three times, that He would be killed and rise again, THESE MEN DID NOT BELIEVE.

Mark 16:14
¹⁴ Later He appeared to THE ELEVEN as they sat at the table; and He rebuked THEIR UNBELIEF and HARDNESS OF HEART, because THEY DID NOT BELIEVE those who had seen Him after He had risen.

The evidence is in. Father addressed HIS WORD to HIS saints and it is HIS saints’ responsibility to OBEY what Father says to them / us.

ALL TRUE SAINTS of God should remember that Scripture WAS NOT WRITTEN in chapters and verses. When the saints at Ephesus received what we call “the book of Ephesians”, THEY HEARD THAT WHOLE “BOOK” / LETTER AT ONE TIME. We would do well to read these letters in whole ourselves.

Ephesians 4 as we know it, that today’s so called leadership like to use to justify their existence, WAS PART OF THE LETTER WRITTEN TO THE SAINTS. Father is telling the saints about these gifts and their purposes. IT IS NOT instructions on how to set up hierarchical leadership in local assemblies.

As a saint of God and love slave of Lord Jesus, I am led to point out and remind MY BRETHREN of what Father’s Word actually says when RIGHTLY DIVIDED by the Holy Spirit, as oppose to, what men and women who love to have the preeminence, SAY THAT IT SAYS.

When all is said and done, it is the Word of God that will stand and the Word of God SAYS:

For as many as are LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD,

THEY ARE THE SONS OF GOD. (Romans 8:14)

Just prior to the Ephesian Scriptures that “today’s so called leadership” CLAIM for themselves, The Holy Spirit through our brother Paul said:

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,
beseech YOU (To the SAINTS who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus)
to walk worthy of the calling with which YOU (THE SAINTS) were called,
² with all lowliness and gentleness,
with longsuffering,
bearing with one another in love,
³ endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
⁴ ONE BODY and ONE SPIRIT,
just as YOU (THE SAINTS) were called in one hope of YOUR (THE SAINTS) calling;
⁵ ONE LORD,
ONE FAITH,
ONE BAPTISM;
⁶ ONE GOD and FATHER of ALL,
WHO is above ALL,
and THROUGH ALL,
and IN YOU (THE SAINTS) ALL.

The whole letter is addressed to the saints. In no part of that letter did the Holy Spirit STOP addressing the saints and start addressing “leadership”. The Scriptures above tell us WHO our leadership IS.

Do not be snared by the “fear of man”. Put all of you trust in Father and He will keep you safe.

Consider what I say; and the Lord give you understanding in all things. 2 Timothy 2:7

AN EVERY DAY PRAYER / PRAYING FORWARD

I believe that this prayer was given to me by Father to show me that His command to “pray without ceasing” was LITERALLY possible.

PRAYING FORWARD as Lord Jesus did: John 17:20
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which SHALL BELIEVE on me through their word;

Father, I thank You for this day; for Your bountiful blessing; Your great love; and Your plenteous mercy.

I commit this day unto You with thanksgiving; asking You to bind Satan in my life today, in the Name and through the blood of Lord Jesus. Put a hedge of thorns of protection around me. Keep me and lead me in the Way Everlasting; perfect that which concerns my spirit, my soul, my body and my mind; send Your angels before me to make my way safe and straight; for Your glory’s sake I ask it with thanksgiving, in Jesus Name.

Forgive me Father, for all of my sins: in words, in thoughts and in deeds; of omission and of commission; and also for presumptuous sins and I thank You. Let not presumptuous sins have dominion over me and let not the foot of pride come against me in any way, shape, form or fashion for Your glory’s sake.

Instead, let the words that I speak and the thoughts that I think be acceptable in Your sight oh Lord; for You are my Strength; my Redeemer; my Portion in this life. My times are in Your Hands and without You, I can do nothing because You have all power; You know all things; You see the end from the beginning; You call those things that are NOT, as though they were. Nothing catches You by surprise; and Nothing is too hard for You.

Make me a man after Your Own Heart today: a man who is full of Your Spirit and led by Your Spirit; a man who is full of faith; full of discernment; full of love and good works; a man who is full of Your knowledge, wisdom and understanding in the things that pertain to this life and godliness; a man who is gentle, patient, quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; a man who is teachable and able to teach; and all for Your glory’s sake. Put Your servant in the presence today, of all those that You would minister to, through me and all those that You would minister through, to me. Again, for Your glory’s sake and I thank You in Jesus Name.

I pray for my spouse, exspouse(s), other parent of my children, along with all of their family members; all the children, grand children, step children, children in law, ex step children and all of their family members; asking You to bind Satan in all of their lives today, in the Name and through the blood of Lord Jesus. I ask You to put a hedge of thorns of protection around each one; keeping and leading them in the Way Everlasting; perfecting that which concerns their spirit, soul, body and mind, for Your glory’s sake I thank You in Jesus Name.

Father, I pray for every person who crosses my eye gate or ear gate today and every person who enters my thoughts today. I pray for them and all of their family members; asking you to bind Satan in each of their lives today, in the Name and through the blood of Lord Jesus. Put a hedge of thorns of protection around each one of them; keeping and leading them in the Way Everlasting, for Your glory’s sake and I thank You in Jesus Name.

I pray for the President and all of His family members; and all on planet Earth who are in authority in any capacity and all of their family members. I ask You to bind Satan in all of their lives today, in the Name and through the blood of Lord Jesus; put a hedge of thorns of protection around each of them; keep and lead them in the WAY everlasting; perfect that which concerns their spirits, souls, bodies and minds; for Your glory’s sake; that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in this present time.

I pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem.

Father, for every vehicle that crosses my eye gate or ear gate today; for every living quarters that crosses my eye gate today; and for every business that crosses my eye gate today: I pray for the owners and their family; the drivers and their family; the occupants and their family; the employees and their families; and the customers and their family. I ask You to bind Satan in all of their lives today, in the Name and through the blood of Lord Jesus. Put a hedge of thorns of protection around each one of them; keeping and leading them in the Way Everlasting; perfecting that which concerns their spirit, soul, body and mind, for Your glory’s sake and I thank You in Jesus Name.

I pray Father, for all those that I’ve met in any capacity through networking / my career / employment and all of their family members. I also pray for all those who have read or interacted with me in any capacity over the internet and all of their family members. I ask You to bind Satan in all of their lives today, in the Name and through the blood of Lord Jesus. Put a hedge of thorns of protection around each one of them; keeping and leading them in the Way Everlasting; perfecting that which concerns their spirit, soul, body and mind, for Your glory’s sake and I thank You in Jesus Name.

Special prayers Father, for backslidden saints. Special prayers for all who would consider themselves my enemy. Perfect that which concerns them in every way.

I pray for all men that they may be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth before it is everlastingly too late and I thank You in Jesus Name.

These prayers that I pray for and through myself, I pray for and through every person on planet Earth in whom Your Spirit dwells who are my brothers and sisters in Christ; that we may be ONE as You and Lord Jesus are ONE; that ALL men might come to know us by our LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

Let this prayer Father, continue in effect until I come before you again, just in case I get lazy or incapacitated some how. I thank you.

Get glory to Yourself Father in the Earth today as only You can. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

ARE WE GREATER THAN OUR LORD?

Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. (John 13:16)

Our Lord is not talking “rocket science” here. He is not speaking in parables here. He is not telling us some great mystery that requires “revelation knowledge” to grasp. It’s simple straight forward common sense knowledge. So simple it’s difficult to find any other words to use to say it differently.

Our Lord Jesus acknowledged that our God and Father IS greater than He because it was our God and Father Who did the sending (John 8:42 & 14:28). There shouldn’t be any questions about who is the greater between us and our Lord Jesus, even if He hadn’t sent us (John 17:18-20). The problem is the “grand canyon” between how our Lord views His relationship and responsibility to the One Who sent Him and how we view our relationship and responsibility to the One Who sent us.

As to relationship, our Lord Jesus said many times that He and our God and Father are “One”. When I looked that word up, it had a one word definition: “One”. Who knew? Right away that starts to mess with our minds because our minds tell us that that means that They are the same and if They are the same, how can One be greater than the Other? Never mind that we know and are assured that there is only One God. Don’t worry about it saints; this is where the finite and the Infinite separate; this is where belief and trust kicks in and understanding is nowhere to be found.

For the sake of “The Father and the Lord Jesus are ONE” discussion, let’s make it easy on ourselves and zero in on the fact that our God and Father and our Lord Jesus Christ are single minded; single purposed with no disagreement. Man! That was close!

Well saints, now that we’ve caught our breaths, what are we going to do with; and how are we going to interpret the prayer that our Lord Jesus prayed for us?

John 17: 20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

We might attempt to say that, when we all get to Heaven, we’ll all be one then. The problem with that is that the world won’t see it and believe that our God and Father sent our Lord Jesus. So, whatever it means, it’s in the here and now. Not only that, 1 Corinthians 2:16 tells us that “we have the mind of Christ”, present tense.

What is the world seeing when it looks at those who claim to be followers of our Lord Jesus? Forget the world! What do we see ourselves? I’m not sure if anyone could claim that there is oneness in any of the local groups much less the Body of Christ at large. Whatever the reason is for this distortion, our Lord, God and Father is not pleased. If “we have the mind of Christ”, we shouldn’t be please either.

Our present actions as “sent” believers say that we think that we are greater than our Lord Who sent us because we act as though we have the authority to change His program and He has to go along with it. Our Lord’s testimony to the One Who sent Him was “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do”. Shouldn’t we be able to say the same to the One Who sent us?

If our Lord’s testimony to the One Who sent Him is not the number one aim and desire of every one of us, in whom the Holy Spirit lives, we cannot claim to be led or filled with our Lord’s Holy Spirit. When our Father’s Holy Spirit is in charge, the work gets done the way our God and Father intended and the world sees exactly what they’re supposed to see. If we can see that we’re not operating with the mind of Christ, we know that our God and Father saw it first; and if we are not willing to judge ourselves and do the right things, we leave Him no choice but to make it right by force.

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

We’ll no longer be able to justify leaving things as they are for peace sake or “going along to git along”. “For, if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.” (1 Corinthians 11:31)

Think over these things I am saying; understand them and grasp their application, for the Lord will grant you full insight and understanding in everything. (2 Timothy 2:7)

Whether therefore you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

 

Doing what Lord Jesus did (herbs); Being like Lord Jesus was (weightier matter)

There is a lot of talk, throughout Christendom, about “doing what Lord Jesus did” and not enough talk about “being like Lord Jesus was”.

Many, who take pride in the fact that they think “doing what Lord Jesus did” is what Christianity is all about, also act as if the books ‘Matthew’, ‘Mark’, ‘Luke’ and ‘John’ is the whole Word of God because Matthew, Mark, Luke and John quote Lord Jesus.

Too many saints and religious people too, forget that holy men of God wrote every book in the Bible as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:19-21 And so WE HAVE THE PROPHETIC WORD CONFIRMED, which YOU DO WELL TO HEED, as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for PROPHECY NEVER CAME BY THE WILL OF MAN, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that THE MAN OF GOD may be COMPLETE, THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for EVERY GOOD WORK. (man= human being used by Father)

Rightly divided or correctly interpreted by the Holy Spirit, no book of the Bible bears any more weight than any other book.

Too many saints and religious people also seem to willingly ignore the facts that:

1. we are humans with a sin nature and Lord Jesus was God in a human body
2. Lord Jesus was sent to die for the sin of mankind; saints are to die to themselves;
3. Lord Jesus’ earthly mission was to Israel ONLY; ours is NOT;
4. Lord Jesus was under the Law of Moses; we are NOT;
5. Lord Jesus IS Israel’s messiah; He’s our Savior, Lord and King
6. Lord Jesus had signs for John the Baptist and Israel that identified Him as Messiah:

Luke 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Believers have a sign that is supposed to show ALL mankind that we belong to Christ:

John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

There are many other things that could be listed, but these are sufficient to make the point of why we can’t and shouldn’t put Matthew, Mark, Luke and John above the rest of Scripture.

The fact that our Lord was only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, we MUST allow the Holy Spirit to show us how to distinguish between what was strictly for the Jews and what can be used by the Body of Christ.

Anyone who does the visible signs and wonders that our Lord, His apostles and other saints did is automatically going to draw attention to them. That kind of attention is very appealing to human nature.

Because Lord Jesus did those things and said to His apostles that they would do them too, it is very difficult for some saints to accept that their flesh is behind their drive and focus on doing the visible things that Lord Jesus did.

Many who have experienced some of these things are overcome with pride and don’t even realize it. They see themselves as above their fellow saints who don’t do what they do.

When Lord Jesus was on Earth, He called the religious people of His day hypocrites because they paid tithes of herbs (visible and physical); but left out the more important spiritual matters of the law.

Matthew 23:23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

The more important spiritual matters that saints are leaving undone today and the things that Lord Jesus did that saints don’t seem too interested in are spelled out in the following Scriptures:

John 5:30 “I CAN OF MYSELF DO NOTHING. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I DO NOT SEEK MY OWN WILL but the will of the Father who sent Me.”

John 5:41 “I DO NOT RECEIVE HONOR FROM MEN.”

John 8:54 Jesus answered, “IF I HONOR MYSELF, MY HONOR IS NOTHING. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God.”

John 8:29 “And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, FOR I ALWAYS DO THOSE THINGS THAT PLEASE HIM.”

John 14:10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I DO NOT SPEAK ON MY OWN AUTHORITY; BUT THE FATHER who dwells in Me does the works.”

John 14:15 “IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.”

John 14:31 “But THAT THE WORLD MAY KNOW THAT I LOVE THE FATHER, AND AS THE FATHER GAVE ME COMMANDMENT, SO I DO.”

John 17:16 “THEY ARE NOT OF THE WORLD, JUST AS I AM NOT OF THE WORLD.”

John 17:20-21 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; “THAT THEY ALL MAY BE ONE, AS YOU, FATHER, ARE IN ME, AND I IN YOU; THAT THEY ALSO MAY BE ONE IN US, that the world may believe that You sent Me.”

There are many many saints who act as though their mission in life is to make sure that Lord Jesus’ prayer never gets answered.

There are many many saints want to do the things that Lord Jesus did, but not many want to be the kind of servant that Lord Jesus was.

The latter is the weightier matters of Christianity. We shouldn’t leave that undone.
